Discover Our Story

Rise to Shine Education Foundation (RTSEF) is a Kenya-registered nonprofit committed to expanding access to quality education for deserving and economically disadvantaged children. Since 2012, we have supported hundreds of talented but needy learners through primary and secondary school, giving them the tools to transform their lives and contribute to their communities. Our donors help fund school fees, uniforms, books, and essential living support, empowering students to rise above hardship and shine in their futures.

What We Do

Rise to Shine Education Foundation (formerly Scars to Stars) was established to support vulnerable children who are eager to learn but lack the financial and social resources to continue their education

  • Supporting academically deserving students with scholarships that enable them to complete secondary education with dignity.

  • Protecting girls from harmful practices by promoting education, awareness, and community-led change.

  • Equipping women with financial literacy and income-generation skills to strengthen families and support children’s education.

  • Ensuring child safety, well-being, and personal development through strong safeguarding and mentorship programmes.
