Charles Tasma is a teacher, currently employed by the TSC.
Having been orphaned at an early age and gone through innumerable social challenges, with effects on performance at school, a vulnerable learner moves me, imagining what I went through. Similarly, as a teacher, Deputy Principal and later Principal, I got a peek into the real challenges of gifted but vulnerable learners. In most cases, I had to go out of my way to make things work for such learners. Sometimes supporting, by paying the fee, to up to 10 needy children. The RTSEF initiative was a worthwhile mitigation.
